Despite various scientific advances and progress man is still the centre of interest. He constitutes the crown of creation, its unifying principle. One anthropological question is the teaching on the human body. It is an issue that not only keenly engaged ancient Greek thought, but also that of the Apostles and the Fathers of the Church. This book is a brief and concise presentation of Orthodox Church's teaching on the human body and on ascesis and exercise associated with the human body.
